Make sure you can determine the differences between petrified, found in ice or sap, how an organism can leave an imprint and how a fossilized mold forms. The book explains this on pages E26-E27. Explain how scientists determine the ages of rocks. This is explained on page E28. Be prepared to explain three different ways. The Era we live in now is the Cenozoic Era. The longest era was the Pre-Cambrian. Pangaea was formed during the Paleozoic Era. Pangaea broke apart during the Mesozoic Era. How is amber formed?
