Plant and Animal Cell Model Building Project
Directions: You will construct a 3 dimensional model of a cell, labeling the organelles of a plant or animal cell. Pass this paper in with your project for grading, or you will lose points.
You will be told which model (Plant or Animal) that you will be assigned. You are responsible to bring this project to class on ________________. Use your imagination and check with me if you are unsure if the materials might be toxic to others in the room. Example: You may not use scented hair gel or other perfumed products. Don’t use Jell-O or other perishable foods because we don’t have access to a refrigerator. Please don’t use nuts in your project. Containers are NOT to be used for cell walls or cell membranes.
Your cell must have all of the organelles labeled. You must be able to explain what each organelles job in the cell is. You are responsible for the organelles shown on page B13 of your Science book. Be sure to include the Endoplasmic Reticulum.
