Through Macedonia and Greece
Acts 20:1-6

After the riot, Paul left and set out for Macedonia where he spoke words of encouragement to the people. He finally arrived in Greece where he stayed for three months. The Jews plotted against him, so he left and took a number of men with him (Acts 20:4-5).  The men went on ahead of Paul, but he joined them in Troas.

Paul Raises Eutychus From the Dead
Acts 20:7-12

Paul spoke to the people until midnight. A young man named Eutychus was seated in a window and fell into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third floor. He died. Paul went downstairs, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. Then Paul announced to the crowd, “Don’t be alarmed. He’s alive!”  He went back upstairs, ate, and continue talking until daylight. Then he left. The people took the young man home very much alive and everyone was happy.

Questions
1.  Image the hot and crowded room Eutychus was in while listening to Paul preach. What do you think about him falling asleep while sitting in the window?
2.  Why do you think Paul was preaching so long?

Paul’s Farewell to the Ephesian Elders
Acts 20:13-38

Paul and his companions sailed through many places. Paul was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem by the Day of Pentecost. So he sent for the Ephesian elders to meet him in Miletus.  He gave them a farewell speech in which he summarized how his missionary journeys had gone. He told how he had preached Jesus Christ to the Jews and Greeks.

Questions
1.  Paul’s farewell speech to the Ephesian elders is quite lengthy. Summarize what Paul said in Acts 20:18-35.
2.  What was the reaction of the Ephesian elders after Paul’s farewell speech to them (Acts 20:37-38)?
