Well we are off to a delayed start, but we are off and running. There are a few things that have changed since "last year". We will be having homework at least 3 out of 5 days each week. This will not be hard or take long. It will just give your child a chance to explain to you what we are doing in the classroom. If your child's work looks like a foreign language, there is a great web page called coolmath.com. It is a wonderful web page. It gives examples, lessons, and practice for most everything that we are doing. Listed below are the State standards in essential question form that we will be using this nine weeks. 0806.5.4 How do you recognize misrepresentations of published data in the media? 0806.5.3 What is a scatter plot and line of best fit? 0806.5.1 How do you find the probability of a simple experiment with equally probable outcomes? 0806.5.2 What is the probability of compound events as compared to probability of simple events? 0806.1.2 How do you interpret a qualitative graph representing a contextual situation? 0806.3.1 What does the point of intersection represent when solving "systems of equations" or 2 lines on a coordinate plane? 0806.3.2 How do yo solve the linear equation f(x) = g(x)? 0806.3.3 How do yo solve and graph linear inequalities in two variables? 9th grade What is slope?
