You will need a notebook for class, a 3-ring binder is preferred. Various worksheets and handouts assigned to students throughout the year will be hole-punched and returned to students. It is imperative that you save returned assignments for review in order to be successful in this class.
Calculators (TI-83) will be provided for students for in-school use. Therefore, it is not necessary for you to purchase a calculator.
However, you may wish to purchase a calculator for home-use. These are quite expensive (around $100). The TI-83 and the TI-83 Plus are the only calculators allowed on the Algebra I SOL test.
