FOLLOW THESE STEPS
Step 1
Create a free Quia account. To do this, go to the Quia Web site(www.quia.com/web).
• Click "click here to enter" on the STUDENT area to the right(yellow gold colored) Click the link labeled "Create my free account."
• Fill out the form that appears. Select "Student" as the account type.
•Record or memorize your username and password.
•When you are done, press the "Create my account" button.
•You should now be in your account information page. Type in the class code KHX999 at the bottom of the page and press the "Add class" button.
Now you're done! Come back to this page and read the instructions below.
Step 2
Read the following instructions carefully.
YOU CAN ONLY TAKE THIS TEST ONCE! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION AND AT LEAST 45 minutes.
• The average time to complete this exam is about 30 minutes.
• DO NOT receive assistance from anyone else to answer any of the exam questions. This exam must be a reflection of your own knowledge of the foreign language.
• DO NOT consult any materials, including dictionaries, textbooks, web pages, or make use of any other pedagogical aids while taking this exam.
Step 3
Now take the appropriate tests by clicking on the hyperlinks below.
• Please note that there are TWO SEPARATE TESTS for each language.
• One test is for a speaking sample. It is the last one on the list. It is for ALL French and Spanish students
• The other test is for a specific language and level and will be writing and listening.
• The timer will begin as soon as you click on the link.
• When you are done, submit the test and it will be evaluated along with standardized test scores and previous experience with your world language to place you in the best class!
