You may earn points in CleverCrazes today, or work with a partner to build a timeline for one of the residents of Manzanar about whom we have been learning.

IF you are going to work in CleverCrazes, you need to be in ROOM 12 with other students in your grade. I expect you to be reading and thinking and learning.

If you choose to work with a partner to build a timeline, you need to be in Room 11. If you are over 13, you may create a free account, if you are UNDER 13, use the student account I set up for you: username: santafestudent001, password: santafe7. 1. Open this PowerPoint and SAVE it to the My Documents folder on your computer. (If you are using Google Chrome--recommended--it will save to the Downloads folder inside MyDocuments by default.)

2. This week you will RE-USE the slides you made before and make them for Lesson 6.

3. Use your WordlyWise Book the OR the WordlyWise Website linked to this assignment to fill out the information on the flashcards.

4. This assignment is about learning your WordlyWise vocabulary words, so focus on words/definitions/sentences/illustrations rather than slide design/animations/transitions. Choose your clip art/illustration carefully. RESIST the urge to get fancy!

5. At the end of the period, finished or not, use the Drop Box to turn in your PowerPoint. If you want to work on it some more to get a better score, you may do it at snack or lunch, but it is due by the end of the school day.

The LAB will be open at snack and lunch if you cannot get it all done this period.

Do your best!

          "Dreams"

          Give me your dreams
          You dreamers
          Give me your heartfelt melodies

          Of the world

"Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"

Whose woods these are I think I know
His house is in the village though
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year

He gives his harness bells a shake.
To ask if there is some mistake
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

          --Robert Frost
