Welcome to your sixth and seventh weeks of CS106!
This is your official study guide page for Quiz #6 (Illustrator exam) which will be given at the beginning of Week 8's class.
This quiz will be a comprehensive exam of Illustrator (worth double the points). In order to prepare yourself for the concept portion of the quiz (using the QUIA website), review the following material:
1) Review your agendas and notes from Weeks 4-7.
2) Review the sample quizzes from Weeks 4-7 study guides.
3) Know the differences and similarities between Illustrator and PhotoShop
To prepare yourself for the practical portion of the quiz:
5) Be comfortable with material in the Illustrator Tutorials 1-3 from the textbook on pages 9-64.
6) Be able to use the pen tool for both straight edges and curves.
7) Be able to draw a perfectly smooth circle, heart, and apple as shown in the tutorial.
7) Review the Mike's Sketchpad website on Illustrator about the pen tool.
The comprehensive Illustrator exam will have concept-type questions. Then, you will take the practical portion where you will be asked to use the pen tool to create a perfectly smooth circle, convert it into a heart and possibly trace a simple object using Illustrator and the pen tool.
