We remain on the X-axis, thus we are finding the x-intercepts. The equation is a quadratic equal to 0; you can solve by the quadratic formula or sometimes by factoring.
To find the VERTEX of the parabola we can use the formula X= -b/2a to find the x value. Then use your given quadratic expression to find its Y value.
