Section A: Multiple Choice • Section A contains 30 multiple choice questions about definitions and characteristics Section B-1: Multiple Choice Analysis • Section B-1 contains 4-12 multiple choice questions that test your skills as a scientist Section B-2: Text, Diagrams, Charts, and Graphs • Section B-2 contains 4-16 questions that test your ability to draw conclusions from text, diagrams, charts, and graphs. You will also be asked to draw your own graph and possibly a simple diagram. Some of the questions are multiple choice. Section C: Constructed Response (most difficult for ELLs) • Section C contains 5-10 constructed-response questions. For example, you might be asked to explain how fertilization occurs or what AIDS is. Section D: Required Regents Laboratory Exercises • Section D contains 5-13 questions that test the skills you learned in the required labs performed in class.
