Goal: Students will use commas and semicolons correctly when using adverbial conjunctions (AC's). Rule #1: When 1 sentence is interrupted by an AC, use commas to separate it from the rest of the sentence. Rule #2: When 2 independent clauses are joined by an AC, use a semicolon and a comma.
