Infinitive expressions
Remember what an infinitive is? In English, examples are 'to run', 'to bake', 'to remember'. In Spanish all infinitives end in -r: to run = correr; to bake = hornear; to remember = recordar In Spanish when there are two verbs in a row, the 2nd one almost always is in the infinitive form. Three common verb expressions that use infinitives are: 1. wants to do something = a form of QUERER + infinitive 2. can do something = a form of PODER + infinitive 3. has to do something = a form of TENER + QUE + infinitive Use your notes handout to help you do this 20 point activity.
