First, draw an imaginary line to separate the complete subject from the complete predicate. Second, in the box provided, type the simple subject and the verb. If the sentence has a compound subject and/or a compound verb, separate each with a semicolon (;).

Make sure to include all words in a verb phrase and all parts of a compound subject or compound verb.

EXAMPLES:
