Coordinating Ideas
Each item below consists of two separate clauses. If the clauses are related and of equal importance, combine them into a compound sentence. If the clauses are not closely related, make them into two separate sentences by supplying by supplying an end mark and a capital letter.
EXAMPLES:
1. Our town is small / it is growing rapidly.
Our town is small, but it is growing rapidly.
2. Our town is small / it is growing rapidly.
Our town is small; however, it is growing rapidly.
3. Keith is in my civics class / his sister is a reporter.
Keith is in my civics class. His sister is a reporter.
