Subordinating Ideas
Eliminate the and's in the following sentences by changing the italicized idea to either an adverb or an adjective clause, as the meaning requires. Don't forget to add a comma after an adverb clause at the beginning of a sentence.
EXAMPLE: I think of F. Scott Fitzgerald, and I think of the Roaring Twenties.
YOUR ANSWER: Whenever I think of the Roaring Twenties, I think of F. Scott Fitzgerald.
