Use the passé composé to tell about completed past actions. Remember that passé composé uses 2 verbs, a helping verb and a past participle based on the main verb. Most verbs use a form of avoir as the helping verb, but the Dr. & Mrs. Vandertramp verbs use être as helping verb.
