Gerunds are a verb form ending in -ING (present participle) used as a noun. It can be a subject, direct object, object of the preposition or a Predicate Nominative. Remember words ending in -ING can be a verb (used with a helping verb), a participle (used as an adjective) or a gerund (used as a noun).
