ESIA Russian Diagnostic Exam Part 2 - Reading

If you have taken this test before, do not attempt it again unless more than two months has passed.

This test is designed to give you a ballpark idea about the state of your reading proficiency in Russian. The test consists of 25 items and is timed to 1 hour.

IMPORTANT! Do not seek outside help, either from reference works or friends! There’s no point to “cheating,” since this is only a diagnostic. If you get outside help, you’ll only skew your score and get an inaccurate snapshot of your language skills.

At the end of your test, your score will be reported to you. Make note of the percent correct.

IMPORTANT ADVICE: Read the questions FIRST! Then read the articles. After that, go back and answer the questions.
