On a busy interstate highway, collisions and other mishaps are such a common OCCURRENCE that many motorists pay little heed. Many people are more concerned with getting where they are going than with someone else's troubles.
However, even the most disinterested traveler would have been hard pressed to ignore a weird accident that occurred recently on Michigan's Route 53. A huge trailer truck overturned and spilled its contents over the roadway. What's unusual about that? Doesn't this sort of accident happen often?
What made this accident UNIQUE was the cargo carried by the truck. Ninety-three thousand eggs made up the cargo. After the accident, not one of the thousands of eggs was still in tact. Route 53 was inundated by the remains of all those eggs.
A usually hard-boiled police officer was heard to laugh and comment, "It's the biggest omelet in the world."
