Scientific Method Story
Use the story below to answer the following questions.
Chip the Tech Guy was called to look at Mr. Dunz’s computer. Mr. Dunz could get the computer to turn on, but the screen was always white. Chip asked Mr. Dunz a few questions about the computer, looked the computer over, checked the mouse and keyboard with an electronic tester, and finally decided what he thought the problem was.
Chip said, “Mr. Dunz, you need a new monitor.”
“But that monitor’s not even a year old.” Mr. Dunz said.
Chip took a deep breath before he replied, “Mr. Dunz, when you make a mistake on the computer, you can’t use White Out on the screen.”
