REVIEW:

Pluperfect Tense ("had -ed"): formed with the PERFECT STEM of a verb (the 3rd principal part), plus the middle -ERA-, plus a personal ending.

Future Perfect Tense ("will have -ed"): formed with the PERFECT STEM of a verb (the 3rd principal part), plus the middle -ERI-, plus a personal ending.

Examples:

carry = porto, portare, portavi, portatus
sleep = dormio, dormire, dormivi, dormitus
lead = duco, ducere, duxi, ductus

PERFECT STEMS:

carried = portav-
slept = dormiv-
led = dux-

she/he/it carried = portavit ... had carried = portaverat ... will have carried = portaverit

they slept = dormiverunt ... had slept = dormiverant ... will have slept = dormiverint
