Solutions and Dissolving Grade 8 Topics 1 and 2 Including Solubility Curves

Formulae:

Concentration = solute (g) / solvent (mL)

or

Concentration in % = solute (g) / solvent (mL) x 100%

Undissolved Solute (g) = amount solute added (g) - amount solute dissolved in saturated solution (g)

Remember:

Saturated = on the line (1 phase)
Unsaturated = below the line (1 phase)
Supersaturated (everything dissolved) = above the line (1 phase)
Saturated = (not all solute dissolved) = above the line (2 phases)
