Power Standard #5 - A Purpose & Point of View Formative Assessment (PR)
There are 10 questions to test where you stand with Author's Purpose and Point-of View
You will be given a short speech and a longer informational text simialr to what you will see very shortly on the EOC (just more interesting). Using our SPARTT!! analysis method, read each text taking notes on a scratch sheet of paper.
1. Read each question first. Identify what the questions is asking you to prove (answer).
2. Read the text to help you determine the answer. Ask yourself: What's the evidence aka proof.
3. Eliminate answers that ARE NOT supported by the text.
4. Select your answer.
You will have only 1(ONE) attempt at this formative assessment.
When you're done, in Box #1 of your PS Worksheet, write down the question & answers you did not receive credit for, record your formative assessment score, and circle your learning level and begin working on your 1st station (preferably Station #6 - USA TestPrep)
