Read the following text, then complete the questions below.

					Learning to Cook

1	Ayako, Bea, and Carmen are friends.  In June, they finished college.  Now it is September,
	and they are working in New York City.  They have an apartment in the city.  The apartment 
	is small, but it has a nice kitchen.  That is a good thing because they are learning to cook. 

2	These three young women all love good food.  They like to eat in restaurants, 
	but restaurants are expensive.  They cannot go out to eat every day!  Bea says, "We want to eat
	well, so we're learning to cook."

3	There are many ways to learn to cook.  For example, Ayako is taking a cooking class.  It
	meets in the kitchen of a store for cooking supplies.  The other two watch cooking shows
	on TV.  All three read cookbooks.  They learn by cooking, too.  Sometimes they call home
	with questions.  Their mothers are all good cooks, and Bea's father has an Italian restaurant.

4	Carmen says, "On weekends, we go shopping for food.  Then we cook for our friends.  The
	food isn't always great, but we're learning, little by little.  And we're having fun!"
