Using Pronunciation and Accents.
The Spanish vowels used to accept an accent mark.:
Shown with out accents: ( a , e , i , o , u ),
Shown with accents: ( á , é , í , ó , ú )
The Spanish language also contains four unique symbols used in the formation of Spanish words.
( ch : pronunciation—”che” [Sounds like “ch” in the English word CHase].
( ll : pronunciation—”ele” [Sounds like an English letter “y”].
( ñ : pronunciation—”eñe ” [Sounds like “ny” in the English word caNYon].
( rr : pronunciation—”erre ” [Sounds like “trilled r”, [perro - dog].
Diphthongs
Most diphthongs can be sounded out by blending the first vowel into the second in a single syllable.
(To the Spanish speaker, i and u are weak vowels, leaving a, e, and o as strong ones.)

like 'eye': baile (BAI-lay)
au
like 'ow' in "cow": causa (KOW-sah)
ea
like 'ay-ah': fea (FAY-ah)
ei, ey
like 'ay' in "say": reina, rey. (RAY-nah)
eu
like 'eh-oo': euro ("eh-OO-roh")
ia
like 'ee-ah': piano (pee-AH-noh)
ie
like 'ee-eh': pie (PEE-eh)

like 'ee-aw': dio (DEE-aw)
iu
like 'ew' in "few": ciudad (syoo-DAHD)
oi, oy
like 'oy' in "boy": soy (soy)

like 'wa' in "wash": cuatro (KWAH-traw)

Accents and stress:
If a word is marked with an accent, then that syllable receives the stress.
