2016 JPN 2 Writing

You just received a letter back from your Japanese e-pal. They introduced themselves and talked about their past weekend. They also asked you a few questions about your hobby, your family, your house, Mills High and about a typical school day, because they are coming to stay in your home and attend Mills for one year!

Please respond to their letter by telling them about how you spent your past weekend and answer their questions with as much detail as you can. Then invite them to do some activities together when they arrive this summer.

At least 15 sentences. Use as many verbs, adjectives, and adverbs as possible.
Start and end with the appropriate letter greetings and their name. ( not writing for the first time!) Include the phrase 楽しみにしています。


Rubric:
Vocabulary（15points）:Use appropriate Kanji and Katakana as needed. When you use Kanji which you have not learned in the class, add the yomigana in ( ) ‘s or just use the hiragana.
Grammar(15points):Verbs, adjectives (present, past, affirmative, negative, te-from)
Adverbs, Particles, transition words (そして、それから、でも、けれども)
Task completion(15 points): it is a letter with greetings at the beginning and end, and addresses the topic.
Delivery (15points) : Clear communication. Your student will not be confused.
