Patient is a diabetic with history of osteoporosis and has had chronic neck pain and radiculopathy resistant to all conservative care. ACDF has already been approved. The surgeon is requesting an adjunct electrical spine stimulator to assist with the fusion.
Imaging results indicate severe advanced degenerative disc disease with HNPs at C5-6 and C6-7.
