1. Preparation for the AP Spanish Class ~ Summer Online Course July – September 2017
This Summer Online Course will prepare you for the AP Spanish class this fall, 2017. It will help fill in some of the “Gaps” in your Spanish language skills to help you become aware of the level of difficulty you will experience in AP Spanish and how to navigate thru these difficulties while learning.
Your assignments are weekly reading passages that you, the student will have to correct logically, grammatically and analytically. You will have to state the main idea of a passage, interpret the author’s meaning and/or purpose, cause and effect; verb tenses, including the subjunctive mood and usage, etc.
You will read excerpts of Don Quijote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra instead of reading the entire book. You will answer and analyze questions to determine their grammatical features. All assignments will be on quia.com. I will re-send your access information to you each time you have a new assignment.
Assignments can be done more than once, so you can practice and achieve the best grade possible, however, you may have unlimited tries for only (7) seven days on each assignment. The assignment will close after the week is up and it cannot be reopen thereafter. Keep in mind that when class begins in September, there are no unlimited times for anything; we have to hit the ground running!
You are capable and resourceful young people so put your best foot forward and lets get cracking! My advice to you is that if you are diligent and comply with your assignments; no excuses, you will do well… I know you can do it! NOW, “MAKE ME PROUD!”
