C/O severe “10/10 pain” in the right hip and groin for the last 6 months, which is activity related and also occurs at rest.
Prior treatment has included NSAIDS, physical therapy, weight loss, and activity modification for > 3months without relief.
There is no history of previous trauma or congenital hip conditions.
PE: painful active and passive ROM of the hip with crepitation, 0 degrees internal rotation and 20 degrees external rotation with a 15 degree flexion contracture and antalgic gait .There is no leg length discrepancy.
Radiographs reveal right hip osteoarthritis with joint space narrowing
