Requesting right C5-7 cervical medial branch RFA. Patient has failed to respond to 3 months of conservative management.
C/O pain on right sided cervical facet loading without radicular symptoms.
Cervical spine MRI reveals multilevel facet arthropathy but is without significant nerve root compression nor instability at levels of planned procedure.
There is NO history of a spinal fusion.
TX: Patient has completed a successful trial of medial branch blocks at planned levels (reported at least a 50% reduction in pain for the duration of the local anesthetic used).
