Nouns and definite articles/plural nouns

In Spanish All nouns have a gender: masculine nouns tend to end in –o (helado) and feminine nouns tend to end in –a (fiesta). To form a plural noun, add an –s to a noun ending in a vowel, or add –es to a noun ending in a consonant. deporte sport deportes sports animal animal animales animals
When you speak about a noun as a general category, you use definite
article, which is equivalent to English the. In Spanish, there are different forms
that agree with the noun in gender and number: MASCULINE FEMININE
SINGULAR, Examples: el profesor la profesora PLURAL los profesores las profesoras You can also use the definite article after the verb gustar (Me gusta la pizza. I like pizza.)
