Spanish 2 Placement Assessment: To enter level 2

The purpose of this evaluation is for you to demonstrate your best work and to show us what you can do with the language so that the International Language teachers can provide you with the best recommendation in order to achieve the greatest level of success as a student at MLWGS. It is our goal to lay a strong foundation so that you will study a language to the AP level, achieving both fluency and cultural understanding in your chosen language.

As future dragons of Maggie L Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies, it is expected that you abide by our standards of honor which prohibit the use of outside resources including, online translators, dictionaries, or another person. The work you submit represents your effort and your original ideas.

You will be evaluated on the following criteria and will have 45 minutes to complete this assessment.
Content (rich expression of ideas and detailed use of vocabulary),
Comprehension (Can your ideas be understood by the reader?)
Organization (Are you telling an organized, cohesive story with a beginning and a conclusion?)
Accuracy of grammar (Verb conjugations, tense selection, agreement)
Syntax - word order

Be sure you have allowed 45 uninterrupted minutes (5 minutes for registration and 40 for the assessment) before you begin. You get only one attempt.
