REVIEW 4 PRINCIPAL PARTS -

- write: scribo, scribere, scripsi, scriptus
- the 4 important forms of a verb given in a dictionary
- we need all 4 forms for STEMS (beginnings of words)


REVIEW PARTICIPLES -

PAP = Present Active Participle:

-ING
- uses the 2nd principal part, the INFINITIVE: remove the ending -RE
- then, add -NT-
- uses 3rd Declension endings (-em, -es, -ibus, ...)
- SCRIBENTEM = writing


PPP = Perfect Passive Participle:

-ED, -EN, (having been) - ED
- uses the 4th principal part (last form)
- uses 1st & 2nd Declension endings (-us, -a, -um, -am, -os, -as, ...)
- SCRIPTUS = (having been) written


FAP = Future Active Participle:

- ABOUT TO
- uses 4th principal part + -UR- middle
- uses 1st & 2nd Declension endings (-us, -a, -um, -am, -os, -as, ...)
- SCRIPTURUS = about to write


REVIEW INFINITIVE:

- TO
- uses -RE ending
- 2nd principal part
- scribere = to write


REVIEW IMPERATIVES:

- commands
- use endings: -a, -ate, -e, -ete, -i, -ite
