This or That: Types of Sentences
There are four types of sentences:
• A DECLARATIVE sentence makes a statement. We have a test today.
• An INTERROGATIVE sentence asks a question. When is our test?
• An IMPERATIVE sentence gives a command. Take out your pencil for the test.
• An EXCLAMATORY sentence expresses excitement or a strong feeling. I passed my test!
