Keep in mind that a few verbs have two forms for the past participle. The regular form is used in forming compound tenses (see TB. p. 183 for exceptions) while the irregular form is used as an adjective. Refer to page 184 on your textbook to see a list of verbs you must know.
The compound tense "preterite perfect" includes: a form of haber (he, has, ha, hemos, habéis, han) + past participle.
