Up on a steep chiff stood a little goat. “I must have that goat,” said the wolf. “But how can I reach her?” “Little goat,” said the wolf, “I am afraid that you will fall.” “Do not be afraid,” said the goat. “I will not fall.” “But I am afraid. Please come down here. There grass is sweet and fresh.” “I thank you,” said the goat. “But I know what you want with me. I will stay where I am. I do not want you to eat me up.” Then the goat shook her horns and ran away. The goat ran far away, and the wolf had no dinner.
