French II Practice Leçon 10 belonging to and faire expressions

Use your book and your notes while you do this.

You are using expressions in this activity; so, remember that you need to conjugate the verb to match the subject.

"être à" = belongs to
Examples:
Le stylo est à Madame. = The pen belongs to Madame.
La voiture est à la fille. = The car belongs to the girl.
Les livres sont aux élèves. = The books belong to the students.
L'ordinateur n'est pas à toi. = The computer does not belong to you.
À qui est le vélo? = To whom belongs the bike? (Who does the bike belong to?)
À qui sont les crayons? = To whom belongs the pencils? (Who do the pencils belong to?)

We have used expressions with "faire" before; so, this is simply an expansion of what you know. Keep it simple and think.
faire expressions work the same way. Conjugate "faire."
Examples:
Je fais mes devoirs. = I do my homework.
Nous faisons la cuisine. = We do the cooking.
On fait une promenade à la plage. = One takes a walk (stroll) at the beach.
Tu ne fais pas de match. = You do not have a game.
