What is the purpose of this assessment?
This self-assessment provides you practice and feedback with hearing French letters spoken and French words spelled. It will also reinforce your familiarity with French personal names, countries, and cognates. It is recommended that you take this assessment until you score at least an 80% to be successful in the next part of the course.
Why do I need to master this content?
You need to be able to understand spoken letters for communication purposes, (such as sharing screen names or email addresses), and you need to be able to hear words spelled out in French, especially for verifying spoken words when you need clarification.
