2014-15 Calendar Development - (anonymous)

This is a follow-up survey for district employees as the 2014-15 calendar is being drafted. In an earlier survey, nearly 82% of employees indicated that they prefer to begin the school year on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. When asked about a Monday start date, 80% indicated it should be a shortened day like all other Mondays during the school year. A vast majority of employees indicated they prefer to begin the year either the same week as this year, or a week earlier. Finally, we heard from employees that snow day make-up days should not be planned around holiday breaks. Here are four more questions as we seek your opinions about next year’s school calendar:
