Enhancing Strategies to Protect Young Children from Lead Poisoning: A Clinical Lead Training
This free training will address screening and testing protocols, interventions for children and pregnant mothers, implications for medical treatment, submission of samples and blood lead data, and educational resources for families. The training will take place October 22-23, 2015 from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm each day. Participants may attend via webinar or in-person at the North Carolina State Laboratory of Public Health in Raleigh. Please note that spaces at the State Laboratory are limited and will be filled in the order in which they are received. An activity planning form for continuing nursing education credit through the Public Health Nursing and Professional Development Unit will be submitted for this training. A continuing education credit application has also been submitted to the NC State Board of Environmental Health Specialist Examiners. Stay tuned for updates.
