       December 21-25 Updated on Monday
I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I am so blessed to have wonderful students and parents. Thank you so much for the Christmas gifts, cards, well wishes, and kind words. I am truly the luckiest teacher at HGS!!!! Have a safe, fun, and relaxing holiday vacation. ***Please be on the lookout for your child's part for prayer/pledge the week of January 4. If your child was at school on Friday, most of them already received their part. I will mail the others out sometime next week. I will follow up with a phone call to make sure everyone received the papers. ***CONGRATULATIONS to the entire class! Everyone made their AR goal for the 2nd 9 weeks!!!!! Only two more nine weeks to go!!!!!!
Beginning in January, students will use binders instead of the individual folders. Each student will need a 1 & 1/2 inch binder (any kind and any style as long as it is the correct size) and a pack of tab dividers/pockets (look in your child's test folder this week for a note on the kind and style of dividers). Please empty out all folders and insert the looseleaf paper in the binder. You may keep the folders at home. It will be easier for the students to keep track of one binder and not 5 folders. This will make the transition into 4th grade easier. If you have any questions, please feel free to conact me over the holidays. I check my email on a daily basis during the holidays.
Mrs. Rachel Harrop is our BoxTop$ Mom this year. Please continue to send in labels from the above products--BoxTop$, A+ Tyson Chicken, Campbell's, and Community Coffee. Have a Merry Christmas, Ms. Darleen
