What is a Resource Center?

The Resource Center houses various learning materials such as books, audio, and video. Each of the Televerde Call Centers house a portion of the overall shared resources available. Materials are available only to Televerde employees and call center Agents.

A client donated a book in my name. Is this book mine to keep?

No, books donated by clients in the name of a particular TSR/Agent are still the property of Televerde for use within the Resource Center. Keeping such items are a direct violation of Department of Corrections regulations.

How do I check out an item from the Resource Center?

You will be required to sign-out the item. Notate the item title and item alpha-numeric ID.

  • If you are an Agent at a PV Call Center, contact your local Call Center Trainer or Training Specialist.
  • If you are an Employee at the Corporate office, contact your department’s learning liaison.
  • Items may require movement from one location to another. Orders will try to be filled as promptly as possible by the Call Center Trainer or a Training Specialist.

How do I return an item I’m borrowing from the Resource Center?

  • If you are an Agent at a PV Call Center, return the item to your local Call Center Trainer or Training Specialist.
  • If you are an Employee at the Corporate office, return the item to your departments learning liaison.

How long can I check out an item for use?

Books                    = 2 weeks
Audio/Video          = 1 week

How do I navigate the Resource Center pages?

  1. Materials are divided into five different themes and are accessible by links in the top right corner.
    1. Business Skills – Content covers soft skills and business competencies such as accountability, communication, decision-making, initiative, interpersonal skills, negotiation, persuasion, sales and marketing, etc.
    2. Inspirational – Content covers inspirational messages such as overcoming adversity, uplifting stories that are emotional or spiritual in nature, motivation, etc.
    3. Life Balance – Content covers skills for building ones career, dealing with change, time management, and building emotional, physical, or spiritual health.
    4. Miscellaneous – Materials that are not related to business or personal improvement such as history, hobbies, etc.
    5. Technology – Content covers hard skills, technical expertise, and eBusiness orientation.
