We strive to keep students and parents informed of P.E. information. We hope you find this site useful in answering questions you may have regarding the P.E. Department at Plano Middle School.

Plano P.E. purple shirt and Plano P.E. black shorts are required to be worn. All equipment must be marked with the student's name. Socks and tennis shoes are required of all students as well. Shoes with shoestrings must be tied completely.

Padlocks are provided and ONLY the padlocks are to be used on the assigned locker. No other locks are permitted on school lockers. Lost or damaged locks will cost $20.00 to replace and payment is made at the school office.

Excused Non-Participation: A student that is recovering from an illness or injury must have a parental/guardian note written and dated to the teacher that may excuse the student for no more than one (1) day. If the illness or injury exceeds more than one (1) day, a note from a medical doctor is needed and must be presented to the nurse for approval.

If a student must sit out of p.e. class due to a doctor's note or a parent note, the student will be required to do an alternate activity. The alternate activity will be a written report about a sport that is issued by the teacher. Reports are do the following class period.

If a student is absent from class for a reason other than a school sponsored activity, the student will lose two points from the daily points. If the student would like to make up the two points for non-participation, the student may do one of two things: make arrangements with the teacher to meet before or after school to run the mile or complete a written sports packet activity.
