-family relationships when used as names ("I will ask Dad.")
-a person's title when it comes before their name (Doctor Jacobs)
-the first letter in days, months and parts of addresses (Mon, Feb., St.)
-all letters in abbreviations of provinces (ON, NF, AB)
-all geographic place names (Brampton, Ontario, Lake Erie)
