I-Stem aut non I-stem?
Is this third declension noun an I-stem or not? RULES: Masculine/Feminine nouns are I-stems only if they meet one of these conditions: 1) The nominative ends in -is or -es, AND the genitive has the same number of syllables as the nominative. 2) The nominative is one syllable and the GENITIVE base ends in two consonants. 3) The nominative is one syllable and ends in -ns or -rs.
