REMEMBER:
COMPLEX sentences contain a DEPENDENT and INDEPENDENT clause; look for dependent words like AFTER, BEFORE, UNTIL, AS SOON AS, BECAUSE, etc.
COMPOUND sentences are 2 independent clauses connected by a coordinating conjunction: AND, OR, BUT, SO, etc.
