Challenge Board: Score points by answering questions correctly.

Perfect tense (+ modals in the imperfect)

Normal perfect tense is the structure that you learned originally in Year 9 German, eg: Ich habe Tennis gespielt.
Remember that verbs taking motion will use the verb 'sein' rather than 'haben' to form the perfect tense, eg: Ich bin schwimmen gegangen.
'sein' - to be = ich bin, du bist, er/sie ist, wir sind, sie sind
'haben' - to have = ich habe, er/sie hat, wir haben, sie haben

MODAL verbs in the past have the -te/ten form and NO umlauts. The other verb will go to the end of the clause in the infinitive (-en) form, eg: Ich musste nach Hause gehen.
