MORE PREPOSITIONS!
Just when we thought that 'in' was 'it'! We have more prepositions, words that help us to show relation. Are we 'on' the table, or 'under' it? Here are more prepositions that, like 'in', go with the ablative code. When we see these prepositions, we should see a noun with the ablative code right after it. The preposition with its noun is called a 'prepositional phrase.' When we read, we circle the preposition, and connect the word(s) in the ablative that go with it with an underline. in = in/on cum = with sine = without ē (with a consonant beginning the following word) = out of ex (with a vowel beginning the following word) = out of sub = under dē = down from, or 'about' ab = away from Test yourself with this columns activity.
