Dative and Ablative Practice, in English

Here are two paragraphs that feature the Dative (indirect object) and Ablative case, along with other cases. Be sure to identify all ablatives as either ablative of "means" or ablative of "accompaniment"

The Roman soldiers are fighting the Gauls. One soldier is fighting with a sword. Now, his hand is bleeding. Another soldier is fighting with a sword. He uses it as a tool to battle the Gauls. They celebrate with the loot that they capture. The Romans carry their loot back to Rome with carts and wagons to share with their city.

The Romans give some of their loot to friends. They give Gallic dolls to their daughters. The daughters go to the house of their friend with the dolls. The girls play with the dolls with their friends. They do not show their dolls to the slave. The slaves just till the field with each other. They do this with a tractor and a combine.
