Word Forms -- Chapter 9
In English, some verbs become nouns by adding the suffixes –ion or -ation, for example, “suggest” (verb) and “suggestion” (noun). Be careful of spelling changes, for example, "combine" (verb) and "combination" (noun). Complete each sentence with the correct form of the words in parentheses. Write all the verbs in the simple past tense. They may be affirmative or negative. The nouns may be singular or plural.
